Abhishek Soni is an international student ambassador with the University of Illinois Springfield Office of International Student Services, an event organizer for the International Student Association and a member of the Student Organization Funding Association and ActiveMinds@UIS Club. “I chose UIS for its small size, the leadership opportunities available here, an involved community and the scholarship,” he said. “I love that everyone at UIS is super friendly and there is enough support and resources here for an inclusive growth of all.” Following graduation from UIS, he plans to earn a master's degree in life sciences.
